SUMMARY DRAFT 1: IMPROVING INDOOR AIR QUALITY
According to Guidelines for Good Indoor Air Quality in
Office Premises (1996), we are able to improve the indoor air quality of a building through
the design and construction of the ACMV system (Air Conditioning and Mechanical
Ventilation). A certified personnel must inspect the ACMV system at all stages
of construction to prevent the spread of contaminants and bacteria through
circulated air. In order to achieve good air ventilation through both natural
and mechanical means, outdoor air must be filtered for foreign debris, fixed
amount of air changes per hour are necessary. It is ideal in constructing the
air intakes to be located where air are cleanest, supply and return ducts to be
made easy to reach for maintenance and cleaning. Building components that does not belong to
the ACMV system must not be in air-handling rooms.
Hi Lok
ReplyDeleteOverall a good attempt summary. In terms of content, is good though there is not much about design details. Language use can be improve in terms of verb usage. The article was from 1996 so past tense should be used. The summary is in developing stage.
